Halloween day in the City

Left side of the Wrigley Building near the river

Pictures are taken of the Wrigley building 24/7. This pic was taken on my Halloween afternoon run into the city.

This picture is a representation of one column of the Wrigley building, just to the side of the walkthrough.

Walking along the Chicago River on Wacker; from Ogylvie Transportation Center to my office at Lake Shore Drive. A beautiful fall day, Halloween Day.

Trump Tower

The building to the right is another well-known, newer skyscraper on Wabash: Trump Towers.

The IBM building is beautifully reflected in this upward view of the towers.

A little color splash in front of the Dental School Building, one block south of Superior.

Lincoln Park Zoo late Fall 2011

White-lipped Buck
The white-lipped buck is a beautiful beast.

He will soon shed his enormous "antlers" and regrow new ones in Spring.

The regrown antlers are strange looking: They are fuzzy and thick, however much less heavy and  burdensome on the Buck's neck.

He is a beautiful animal indeed. Quite peaceful, and yet still wild.

Do not pet the animals!

White-lipped deer
The female white-lipped deer is also quite perfect. She is quite peaceful: She will stare directly at you with her big, gentle eyes.

The Kangaroos are a funny bunch. They don't have much space to jump around so during warm days they conserve energy.

Fall Friday TGIF

This is a photo taken from behind the Museum of Contemporary Art. The leaves are getting ready to drop ... but a few trees are still hanging on.

More brilliant color along Dearborn Parkway. It's worth a visit.

This is one of the gorgeous buildings, just east of the Drake Hotel. The doorway is exquisite, and the flowers stunning.

Halloween in the City

Astor Street Grim Reaper
Webs on West Division
Awesome displays are everywhere. The sun was out, the ghouls were out too. I thought they didn't like light?

West Division Brownstone Display

Astor Street

Walking down Astor Street there are tons of beautiful city boxes. Big bucks are spent on floral arrangements around the Gold Coast.

Thought this was an interesting way to display your potted plants.

I wonder if they're truly balanced. This is a gated house ... I decided not to push my luck.

Couldn't resist of shot looking down Lake Shore Drive.

The sun was bright so the colors are distorted. Still, a gorgeous site: One of many throughout this great city.

Office View

This is a picture facing out my office window. Yes, I was on break.

How lucky am i to have this view?

There's nothing like the shadows of fall ... to make a great pic.

Passed out

On my Saturday afternoon walk last week, I saw this "attractive" display in front of a very, very Rubloff "for sale", swanky brownstone on Dearborn Parkway.

I didn't grasp the "quality" of the pose until I pasted in on Facebook. Seems a lot of folks like a spread-eagle bone-bag!

Could have been a straggler from the Bars on Rush or Division after closing time?
